Don R Patton

The curator, Dr. Don R. Patton has worked as a Geologist in the United States, Canada, Australia, England, Mexico, Peru, Bolivia, Jordan, Israel and Turkey. He has participated in dinosaur excavations in Colorado, Texas, Utah, Wyoming, Canada, Bolivia and is credited with excavating the longest consecutive dinosaur trail on the American continent.

Dr. Patton has worked as an Archeologist in the United States, Mexico, Peru, France, Italy, Israel, Jordan, Cambodia and Turkey, focusing on work in Israel. He was an Area Supervisor in the City of David Excavations under Eli Sukron of the Israeli Department Antiquities, helping to excavate such exciting finds as the Pool of Siloam (2004-08), the Tower of Siloam (2005-06) and Palace of David (2007-08). He participated in the Altar of Joshua excavations at Mt. Ebal under Dr. Adam Zertal of the University at Haifa and was the geological consultant at the Qumran Plateau Excavations (where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found) under Dr. Randall Price (2006).

Since 2008 Dr. Patton has focused his attention on research in Eastern Turkey. His present research is being conducted as an associate of Anadolu University.
